No cookies. No tracking. Nothing loaded from anywhere else.
Plain language, plainly meant. Last updated 6 October 2026.
1. Who we are
This policy covers shearkeygroup.com, operated by ShearKey Group. It explains what is collected when you visit, what happens to anything you send, and what is never collected at all.
2. Cookies
This site does not set cookies. No page writes to cookies, local storage, session storage or IndexedDB, and nothing is remembered about you between pages or visits. That is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing for one to gate.
3. Analytics and tracking
There is no Google Analytics, tag manager, advertising pixel, heat-mapping or session-recording tool, social tracker, or third-party chat product. Visitor behavior is not measured, profiled or sold.
4. Information you send us
When you use the contact form or project intake, we collect your name, email address, optional company and phone number, the topic, project details, and your message. When you press Send, it goes to /api/contact on this same domain and is delivered by email to Hendrik, with your address as the reply-to.
We use it only to answer your inquiry, evaluate a possible engagement, and deliver services if you become a client. It is never added to a mailing list, and never sold, rented or shared for marketing.
5. Server and security logs
The hosting provider keeps standard web server logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser user-agent) to keep the site secure and reliable and to detect abuse. They are not used to identify visitors, build profiles or advertise, and they are not combined with anything else.
6. Third-party requests and links
Every file this site loads is served from this domain, including self-hosted fonts, so your IP address is not sent to a font or analytics provider. Links to LinkedIn and Calendly are plain links: nothing is requested from them until you click, and if you book a call through Calendly, Calendly's own privacy policy applies to what you enter there.
7. The brief builder
The "Build a project brief" button opens a scripted helper that runs entirely in your browser. It sends nothing, uses no AI model, and forgets everything when you leave the page. Nothing is sent until you press Send on the form.
8. Care of project information
Project details you share are handled with care, kept to the people who need them, and never published. Formal confidentiality obligations begin when an engagement or confidentiality agreement is signed, so please hold back proprietary drawings, pricing or security-sensitive details until then.
9. How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept as ordinary business correspondence for as long as they are useful to the conversation or a resulting engagement, and deleted on request unless we must keep them for legal or accounting reasons.
10. Your rights
If you are in the UK or EU (UK GDPR / GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have rights of access, correction, deletion and portability over personal data held about you. In practice that is only what you sent through a form; use the contact form and say what you want done.
11. If this ever changes
If analytics, an embedded calendar or any other third-party service is ever added, this page will be updated first and, where the law requires it, permission will be requested before anything is stored on your device.
12. Contact

Start with the program
Send the project, the phase, and the decision you are trying to get right. If independent representation is not the right answer, we will say so.
