Founder & Principal Consultant

Hendrik Schoeman is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and a United States Navy Civil Engineer Corps veteran who brings a rare, two-sided view to mission-critical infrastructure delivery. He founded ShearKey Group to give capital program owners public-sector procurement discipline paired with commercial hyperscale execution.

Over a 20-year military engineering career he worked the government side of the table, serving as a Contracting Officer, Contracting Officer's Representative, and Construction Manager on military construction and facilities programs: writing solicitations, developing RFPs, reviewing proposals, building and defending cost estimates, running source selection, and awarding to contractors.

In the private sector he moved to the owner's side of hyperscale data center delivery, leading utility integration, commissioning readiness and operational turnover. He was part of the cross-functional, fast-track effort that took a hyperscale data center to Day-1 ready in nine months.

Most people who have run source selection have not delivered hyperscale data centers, and most data center executives have never sat inside a government evaluation. Hendrik has done both. He uses that to protect the owner's capital, keep design and trade partners aligned, and surface the execution blind spots that derail mission-critical programs while they are still cheap to fix.
